Los 50 mejores lugares para comer en Windsor (2024)

The Sir Christopher Wren Hotel, located in Windsor, England, is a four-star hotel that offers afternoon tea and Sunday jazz lunches. The hotel's architect namesake is done justice in the beautifully designed, traditional rooms.

The rooms are extremely comfortable, stunning with lovely finishing touches. The food is very good, an amazing breakfast in particular.Every single member of staff was friendly and extremely helpful, from the housekeepers, to the business center assistant, reception and restaurant and bar staff.Making a large booking was easy and efficient with the office staff and no request was too much to ask.Despite several amendments and changes to our booking we were well taken care of.We would definitely return and I highly recommend for either business or personal visits.

The hotel bar and restaurant are facing the Thames and have a beautiful setting. It is very central and has character. However, to go to our original room it must have been up and down 60+ stairs. I asked to change room as my knees and hips couldn't manage that. The hotel were really swift and within 15 minutes we had a room on the 'ground' floor. This also had three stairs, around a corridor and another 3 stairs to get to the front, which in itself had the stairs to get to the door of the hotel. A warning about the stairs would have been helpful when booking. We stayed 2 nights and would have expected maids to come and replace towels or make the bed, but this didn't happen at all . We had drinks in the bar which was nice and the terrace overlooking the Thames was beautiful. We also had afternoon tea which we felt was very expensive for what we got. 4 very small finger sandwiches and lots of sweet cakes, far too sweet, although the scones were warm and tasted freshly baked. Breakfast was included and help yourself. All usual standard food, cooked breakfast, cereals, pastries, fruit, cheese and ham also with make your own pancake section. Staff were lovely and so happy to help with anything, considering we had allergies to cater to. Considering everything, it was a lovely hotel, but for the cost we could have found somewhere less expensive and still very nice. Particularly as we had to change to a much smaller room.We wouldn't return.

The hotel was lovely, the vibe was smart but relaxed, more leisure than business. Staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. We chose a "Feature Room" and had the "Iver" room which had a view of Windsor Castle, as requested. The room was spacious, with two chairs and a table as well as the very comfortable super king-sized bed. There was a coffee machine as well as the usual kettle, water and glasses, tea coffee etc. The bathroom was quite spacious, moder with a decent size counter around the sink. The shower was excellent. The room was clean, and we could cool it nicely to a pleasant sleeping temperature.Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and all perfectly cooked. We also ate in the restaurant for both evenings, the first one managing to get a table by the window overlooking the river. On both evenings, the staff were very attentive despite being busy. The food was excellent. My only criticism would be that I'd like to see a few more drinks choices available, but that is a small point. We used the hotel parking option, which is chargeable and a short walk away, but this suited us on this occasion.Thank you a lovely stay, we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We had a fabulous stay at this lovely hotel by the river. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. A special mention for Wendy on reception who who was so happy, warm and knowledgeable. Our room was modern, comfortable and overlooked the river which was perfect. Great food in the Riverside restaurant and close to Windsor town and the castle. Highly recommended! Thanks for a super stay x

From the welcome we received on arrival, to the staff serving breakfast when we left, we couldn't fault this hotel. The room and en-suite were spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. The bath filled with steaming hot water very quickly for a great, relaxing soak. The ambiance and service in the bar were exemplary. The breakfast was brilliant, with so much choice and everything was very fresh. We enjoyed our unplanned stay so much, we fully intend to book again soon.

Had the pleasure of staying here recently. The room was classed as "Club". It decor was a little bit dated, however the room was a nice size, bed was very comfortable and the linen was nice quality. The wardrobe needs to be thrown into a skip! I had a nice riverfront view and the room was well sound-proofed considering how close to the street it is.The bathroom was a bit compact and the bath is far too small, however the water pressure was excellent and the toiletries were nice. The gym is located in another property however it is very well equipped and one of the best I have encountered. The hotel is very located for Windsor and all the local sites and is a very short walk away from the station. The on-site brasserie is large and has a large menu to choose form. The food was good but not overly "wow", however the desserts were excellent. The breakfast buffet was standard but, again, not overly "wow" but plenty on offer. The brasserie was very busy and noisy - so pick your time wisely if you prefer a calmer breakfast. The service throughout the hotel was good.If you are looking for some "old world charm" and want to be well located in Windsor then this is the place to be.

We have a left a google reviewThe breakfast was the best experience out of the two nights we stayed at this Hotel the selection was great and the food was delicious.Reception staff seemed generally disinterested in us we felt as though we were interrupting their conversations they were having when we arrived. No smiles no warmth no interest just felt like their job was perfunctory. The room was basic the bed very comfortable but the bathroom needed to be upgraded very basic and the room was not clean behind the bedside cabinets was dust a paper clip and in the drawer was a card from a previous occupant.

Matthew P — Google review

Check in was easy, the reception team were polite. On entering my room the first thing that hit me was the smell of fake flowers! It was overpowering. I had to unplug it and open the doors and windows. The carpet is sticky to the touch, it needs a deep clean. The bathroom was a good size, however definitely not anything special. The bed, although comfortable, had concrete pillows and had questionable repairs made to it. The curtains almost blocked all the light. It is poorly maintained for the price that was paid. Upon checking in, they didn’t tell us the bar would be closed, and not available to residents! This was a shock, especially on New Year’s Eve, when we were looking to have a couple of cocktails to start the evening! I would look at other hotel options over this one, the fantastic location is the only redeeming quality. Definitely not worth the 300+ pounds I spent for one night.

Upon arrival my colleagues and I were warmly welcomed. Check In was a breeze and we were assisted with our luggage promptly thereafter. The rooms are extremely well equipped, the bed was most comfortable and the shower was spacious with great water pressure. The Dining area is also amazing, with a great choice of meals to choose from. There is an outside area which overlooks the River Thames as well, with a spectacular view of Swans and Geese. The Hotel has many amenities, shops and restaurants surrounding it as well which makes it so convenient. It is a stone throw away from the Windsor castle as well, and many other sight seeing opportunities on your door step. This makes it an ideal location for Tourists.I would definitely recommend the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel and Spa, they surely get a 5 star from me.

We were staying for a wedding at the Guildhall. I first booked a double for my husband and I and a single for our son. I paid on line and had confirmation. Our situation changed and I needed to upgrade our sons room from a single to a double. I rang to confirm this and was assured this was the case but as a hangover from covid the system the upgrade wasn't shown on the booking. This didn't give us confidence. I was asked to check in on line which I did only for 1 double as your system couldn't upgrade the single to double and so I couldn't check in on line for that. This was a pain. So at reception we had a long wait going through check in. We also had to pay for the parking which was a fair walk away and virtually full when we went to park the car with a number of cars not displaying a parking permit. There was a sign offering valet parking, but were told that was for disabled guests only. The sign is not clear in that. We asked where the Guildhall was and how long it would take to walk there - the receptionist had never heard of it. Our room overlooked the rear courtyard which had bins being filled a fair few times and so was noisy on occasion. Really not what we expected for this type of hotel. We were disappointed. Breakfast was good but the serving staff were too diligent and removed our drinks before we'd finished. Bottom line, would I recommend to friends - sadly no as it is right on the river.

We stayed for two night visit, we loved the location and the amenities. The Brasserie restaurant was a lovely spot to have breakfast as it overlooks the Thames and the bridge. The location was perfect for us as we could walk over the bridge and visit family and explore Eton and the town of Windsor. Everything was clean and comfortable. Online booking was easy and good communication. Overall a great stay and we will come back!

The service at the hotel is really great and I very much enjoyed the breakfast and in the evening the bar. The area is comfortable with a beautiful view. My room was comfortable, but it was overwarm and a bit run down. There was mold around the shower with broken parts. Limited available hooks to hang up used towels - this is not possible above the toilet. No instructions for how to turn on towel warmer or adjust temp in the room. Multiple light switches that were not all functional and not all lights worked. Adjust layout of the room for better access to the wardrobe. Otherwise I feel I slept well, the room has a lot of conveniences such as desk, extra chair, coffee/tea service, full length mirror, robes and all the shower essentials.

Lovely short break at the Sir Christopher Wren. Friendly staff and lovely views at breakfast. Good selection at breakfast buffet, loved the pancake making machine. Would have liked fresh berries. Booked a club room which was in block across from main hotel but not a problem and lovely modern room. Was offered upgrade to another room for £20 a night and emailed hotel to ask what the advantage would be saying would like a walk-in shower and view of either castle or river. Never received a response so still don't know if upgrade would have been better. Did though have lovely walk-in shower and castle view but rest of surroundings not particularly good. Bit tight on the hospitality tray as only enough sachets for one coffee. Hotel is in a great location and parking provided although extra was very close. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Really enjoyed my recent stay at this hotel. Location is astonishing, with the Windsor castle on one side and a picturesque bridge to Eton on the other. Very comfortable room with a newly renovated bathroom and luxury shower products .Exceptionally friendly staff, an issue with an overlooked booking got resolved on the spot, which made my stay truly enjoyable.Great breakfast, good selection and professional service plus a magnificent view on the river and swans. Highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in Windsor.

Overall, I really love this hotel, I’ve stayed in a dozen places in London and Windsor and for the last few years I’ve been coming back here every time. They have a wide variety of eclectic room, some of them you feel like you’re in the 50s and others you feel like you were in a New York penthouse suite. But even the worst rooms have plenty of room and good amenities. The staff is always very nice and I love the breakfast and complementary free drink if you book directly with the hotel. One of the real treats is their dining room where you can eat breakfast lunch or dinner watching sometimes hundreds of swans swimming in the Thames river.

This is a well run good quality hotel in the heart of Windsor. I was expecting slightly more from the rooms, they felt a little dated and I need of a bit of a revamp. It was nice to have some traditional furniture but didn't feel as nice as it could have done. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection.

We stayed in a Signature room and although a little disappointed not to get one with a big balcony, we still had a small one and were in an excellent location right on the bank of the Thames. We stayed for 3 nights and found the whole hotel very clean and well equipped. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable with comfortable bed and chairsBreakfast was also excellent with a choice of cereal, continental, fruit or full English in a buffet style with fresh tea and coffee. We didn’t eat an evening meal in the hotel but heard others saying it was very nice. There are lots of eating options locally to try if you fancy a change.Overall an excellent few days away in a very nice hotel, would definitely visit again

6 of us enjoyed a 2 night stay, midweek in mid March. The hotel is lovely, retaining much of its original features but with sympathetic modern updating. Our rooms were perfectly adequate for a short stay, comfortable with everything you need. The brasserie food was very good and very reasonably priced. The staff were, without exception, delightful, friendly, efficient and professional. The hotel is really well positioned - Windsor Castle is a 5 minute stroll and Eton College 15 minutes. All in all a top spot to enjoy the best of Windsor.

We had a quick girls getaway. Our room was lovely, overlooking the river. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We also had breakfast and afternoon tea at the hotel. Both were great, and we can’t compliment the staff enough! So friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be back 😊

Lovely hotel great location over looking the river. From the moment we arrived the flowers outside the main entrance, beautiful building and spotlessly clean.. Staff were wonderful, polite, professional and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was located across the road in the new section of the hotel, everything was perfect, so much so we spent an extra night. Food in restaurant was excellent, good variety for breakfast.Thank you to all we will definitely be re-visiting.

Jayne C — Google review

Me and wife stayed here for our wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely brilliant. We booked direct, and they gave us 10% off all our food and drinks for doing so. We had afternoon tea and dinner at the restaurant, both of which were excellent. The service was also exceptional, both within the hotel and the restaurant. The room was also high quality, very comfortable and warm. All our special requests were also met with faultless service. The only improvement I would suggest is to update the decor/design of bathrooms, and it needed some TLC. Otherwise perfect, would highly recommend for any occasion, will be rebooking should we return to the area.

We had a fantastic weekend stay here at the beginning of October and everything was perfect! Including the weather ;-) We had a Feature Room overlooking the river with a little balcony which was delightful! The parking nearby at the station was easy. You can drive up to the main hotel entrance to drop off and load luggage if need be. It’s in a great location- such a lovely spot by the river and an easy walk to everything in Windsor and Eton. Tasty breakfast with a good variety. Cosy hotel with nice decor and well kept. The various rooms are all spread out so we had to walk outside from our room to get to the restaurant which was fine for us. Friendly and helpful staff. There’s a nice little gym with a sauna and jacuzzi outside but we didn’t get time to use them. We highly recommend the hotel and will return!

Susanna B — Google review

After an initial disappointment with our room, and after discussing with a very pleasant receptionist (perhaps mgr), we were moved to a much more preferable room, with no fuss and the help of concierge. The room was actually one we've stayed in previously overlooking the river, so we were more than satisfied and felt rather at home. Our 2 night stay was perfect. Room service was prompt, all the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was beautiful with plenty of choice. We will definitely stay here again in the future, and we thank you again for your excellent hospitality.

I was there last week on a business trip from the states. What a great hotel! Its proximity to the castle was fantastic. The staff was great at indulging all our questions and helping us get to where we wanted to go. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was amazing. If I ever travel back to Windsor I will be staying here again.

Fantastic hotel. We stayed in the other building over the street. which I was initially a little disappointed about. But was pleasantly surprised as it was another beautiful building with a cute courtyard as you walk through. The rooms were lovely too. Modern & comfortable. Can’t top the location for exploring Windsor. Right on the river- fantastic views over the river from the bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. Would stay here again. Great value for money.

The facade of the hotel is Georgian with an attractive small front garden. Inside, close to reception there are a number of elegant drawing rooms, where it is possible to sit and enjoy the complimentary lemon water. The restaurant/ bar area is also where a very good breakfast is served. We only had one meal in the restaurant and the quality and service were excellent.Because we booked direct we had vouchers for a free glass of wine with our meal. Our room was a paid-for upgrade which had a bedroom and separate sitting room, the hotel was quiet with little discernible noise from outside. The views from the room were very romantic, the river, the swans and the bridge to Eton were visible. In the evening myriad lights twinkled on the water. We have decided that this is our special place and will return again and again for weekends or special occassions

We stayed for 1 night as we were meeting some old school friends to have a reunion in Eton. Perfect location at the Christopher Wren Hotel, rooms were spacious and bed was very comfortable. Great shower pressure with robes and toiletries provided. Good choice of hot and cold options at breakfast with great view of the Thames. All in all a very pleasant stay and I'd definitely recommend the Christopher Wren Hotel. One couple out of the group we were meeting who had travelled from Canada also stayed there so it was great we could breakfast together the next day. This was their 5th time back so definitely a winner with them too.

What a beautiful hotel in a perfect location in Windsor. Just across the bridge from Eton, and far enough away from Windsor so there are fewer people but still an easy walk to the Castle. Service is impeccable, and the stay includes a phenomenal breakfast each morning. Delicious and once again the service is beyond the expected. Highly recommend a stay here.

Welcoming on arrival with quick check in. Shown to our room by a very informative gentleman, Mark I think was his name. Room was of good size and had all modern amenities. Walk in shower was a bonus for my wife as she has mobility issues. Good buffet breakfast and staff were very attentive and helpful. Lovely view of river from restaurant. Well situated being close to Eton and Windsor Castle . Ate in the restaurant at night. Not too large choice but there was something for everyone on the menu. I enjoyed the steak and ale pie but the mash tasted like a mash mix. Overall enjoyed the stay. Stayed in the Windsor part of hotel. Very secure.

Had overnight stay here to visit Windsor castle the following day and what a lucky choice. The service, room and the evening meal and breakfast we had in the brasserie were all excellent. Plus the hotel had a parking area close by which was very reasonable (in comparison to parking in the town the next day!) Shame we only stayed one night but we would definitely like to return at some point. The hotel is in the centre of town and so very accessible to the castle and shops and restaurants but surprisingly quiet too at night which was a bonus!

Lynne R — Google review

Comfortable rooms. Housekeeping staff extremely noisy from before 7am. Staff at breakfast were rude, and unhelpful. Reception staff not interested in this feedback. Also tried to double-charge some members of the party for parking that had been prepaid. Not good enough for a hotel that markets and prices itself as high end. Stay elsewhere

Chris G — Google review

We loved the location and the modern room. Given how much has been spent on modern plumbing (wonderful bathroom!) it was surprising that the pillows were definitely of poor quality. We made the reservation through Expedia, and were invited to communicate before our visit. I sent two requests for early check-in. There was no response to either message. Check-in was painfully slow and frustrating. Maybe software needs updating?

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. We were in room 84, which was a bit small, but with a nice sized bathroom. The restaurant and lounging (draw) areas are quite nice and staff was very pleasant. We did find it a bit pricey and might look for something cheaper next time around.

We booked for two days and found this hotel. Very nice located by the river. A calm place. A few minutes to the left and you find the way up to the castle and shops and restaurants along the way. A few step to the left a calm charming street to Eton college. This village is like a ferrytail! Absolutely adorable! We had a nice room across the street. Don’t know if it’s better in the main house. The bathroom was spacious and had an amazing shower!Quiet room and good air conditioning! The restaurant had the most wonderful staff and environment by the river are beautiful!Good breakfast!Highly recommended!

My husband and I met 12 years ago at this hotel whilst we were both employed there. 6 years of marriage and 2 children later we thought it would be a great idea to stay at the Wren, to celebrate our anniversary.Best idea ever! Since Sarova acquired the Wren I have been thoroughly impressed with the vast improvements made to make this the outstanding hotel it is today. Bravo. You cannot beat the charming location or the quality of the service. We can’t wait to plan another trip someday.

Solo stay for a local event. Have to say I was impressed with this hotel. The waterside location in Windsor is awesome. On arrival the staff were cheerful and well organised - check in very easy. The lady offered me an umbrella because it was raining outside. I had a single room which was a generous size, comfy bed, decent shower pressure. All fine and for the price I thought terrific value. Breakfast is in a lovely spacious room with a panoramic view over the river Thames and the footbridge to Eton. Food offering at breakfast was outstanding and staff again were well organised, cheerful and well turned out. I asked for some avocado which wasn't in the buffet offering and it was produced from the kitchen within seconds. This was a refreshing experience! Too often hotels these days, even big name luxury ones, provide mediocre breakfasts and slow chaotic service. The staff were in complete control here, moving around the room effortlessly making for an extremely relaxing experience to enjoy the view of the water. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed 1 night. Dinner was good and breakfast was amazing. The location is perfect if you want to be by the river plus easy walking distance to the station and castle. Highly recommend.Bathrooms are quite old.

I had the pleasure of staying at Sir Christopher Wren twice, both times in wonderful rooms. Accommodations were very nice and in my opinion, very comfortable. The price was well worth the money. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and the setting is just idyllic. I highly recommend the stay and hope to visit again.

The Sir Christpoher Wren Hotel was a perfect spot to stay while visiting Windsor...slightly off of the main road so was convenient to everything but not hectic. The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the rooms spotless & comfortable (we had a room with a view of the castle (#460) which was stunning...especially when lit up at night)Having a meal in the dining room overlooking the river was something we looked forward to each day.As a matter of fact, The Ivy restaurant came highly recommended from various web sites, and while it was lovely, the food at Wren dining room was much better.Highly recommend the Wren, and hoping at some point in the future to visit again.

Staff are Bert helpful, kind and personable - from reception to restaurant to concierge to housekeeping. Everybody had high standards and made us feel liked valued guests.Rooms are a very good size (we stayed grand deluxe) and well equipped. Bed was vet TV comfy. Furniture and decor needs updating but is pleasant and clean.Location is superb- just beneath the castle, restaurants a plenty within a few minutes walk, the river and nearby other towns all walkable, a train station minutes away for direct access to London and beyond.

Mark the concierge at this hotel was incredible. He gave us four star service! We own our own business and it is men like him we look for. He was so dedicated to customer service. The location is amazing. The staff all very helpful . My criticism of the facility was specifically around the fact that we were awakened during the second night (Thursday night) overheated in the room with A/C broken. We reported it Friday morning but it remained out the next three nights. We are very sensitive to heat and had three sleepless nights. Mark brought us a fan and tried to move us into a room that didn’t get as much sun but even after cold showers we were still left hot. They suggested we open the windows and we tried until the mosquitos came. We had hoped the A/C repair company would have come sooner but it was not to be.Other than this unfortunate mishap, the hotel was lovely.

We stayed at the Christopher Wren for a couple of days/nights over the Easter weekend. Overall we had a really pleasant stay, perfectly located and within walking distance of everything we needed and wanted to do. The hotel has a nice well equipped gym, the bar and restaurant are clean, pleasant and right on the river. Breakfast was excellent and they catered for gluten free very well (the machine coffee is dreadful though). All the staff we met were friendly and polite. The only reason we have not given 5 stars is that the rooms feel a little tired and the bathroom was old and dated. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would recommend.

The hotel is very well situated, so convenient for the sights of Eton and Windsor. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a very good selection of food for breakfast. The traditional double room was quite small, and it was disappointing not to have a fridge. The accessible room was very spacious and well equipped. After booking the hotel I rang them to request blue badge parking. On the first call they said I would have to call back closer to the time to see if spaces were available. On the second call I was told that the request had been put on our booking. By the third call, the day before we arrived, we were told that we could have a space. It was hard to understand why this was so complicated.

We stayed recently at the Sir Christopher Wren hotel at a spur of the moment stay in Windsor (as it's a short direct train from central London). The hotel is exceptionally located right on the river Thames, within a short walk to Windsor Castle, Windsor High Street's many good restaurants and Eton & Riverside train station. In particular our room was very large and had spectacular views across and down the Thames from it's large balcony. The breakfast buffet was of a very high quality with ample seating and long opening hours. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

I stayed as a solo traveler from Wednesday 27 Dec thru Sunday 31 Dec. My overall stay was quite pleasant and I was satisfied at the overall value. My room was a little different than the ones laid out online but I accepted it. It was a beautiful room with everything that I needed but it was quite modern which disappointed me. ( I love rooms with local charm)It’s centrally located with full English charm which for me was most important. I paid for breakfast to be included each day and although I’m a pretty light breakfast eater; the selection was plentiful. If you love a full English breakfast; you will not be disappointed. The entire staff was VERY professional and helpful. Very kind and attentive. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. I will definitely stay here again when I return to the Windsor/London area.

The hotel is in an ideal location and staff are friendly. It claims to be Green but milk is in plastic cartons, cheese at breakfast in individual wrappers and little boxes of cereal. These are easy fixes to be greener. We didn’t have face clothes in our room but slippers in plastic wrappers. It was very windy the night I stayed the wind howled around a court yard and something knocked all night. I mentioned the lack of sleep and was told they would tell maintenance no polite sorry. It is meant to be 4 star. Breakfast was just ok not 4 star I’ve had better. I asked for veggie sausages and they took 20 minutes and were clearly deep fried. Fruit lacked variety and included tinned peaches. Lack of variety of breads and pastries. Coffee served in a cup. The room was executive but I’d hate to be a standard as it must be tiny. It is however ideally located and decor is pleasant and our did have a view of the castle. For the price it was lacking.

I was looking forward to enjoying something special from the Sir Christopher Wren hotel based upon a fairly high booked rate (£360 for a double room for single occupancy) for a mid-week stay (out of high season), however the feel of the web site and reviews seemed to justify the cost, so my expectations were high. Sadly, they were not met. Check-in was clumsy (receptionist log-in issues, lots of "how do I do" questions between the staff etc) and the room provided was then "over the road" (no mention of this on the booking site; I would not have booked knowing the hotel sprawled across a road). The room itself was quirky (404) with an outwards opening door (like a shed) and a very small bathroom and comedy shower that flooded the floor despite using the shower screen. Breakfast was a buffet (which I acknowledge can be done well), but the food had sat too long resulting in warmed/ overcooked food on offer; certainly not a premium offering.Whilst the location of the hotel is excellent, the general feeling from my stay was one of a organisation that suffers from complacency; it felt like the staff didn’t have to bother as most guests would not return after the first experience. My overall feeling was of a hotel that is set up for one-time tourists and charges well above average UK rates on the basis of foreign visitors to Windsor, and much better value for money is available in the area. Disappointing.

We stayed at this hotel for a short break. It was a spur of the moment booking. We had a more modern room in Windsor house, just across the road which was very nice. The brasserie is lovely with great views of the river. Breakfast was great, it was buffet style so you could have anything and everything! What really struck me was the customer service. All the staff were brilliant, polite and pleasant, especially the manager and Mark, It really puts you at ease when you get that level of service. Unfortunately I have some mobility issues and our room was right at the back of the hotel, which was quite a walk for me, but there was a lift (unlike the main building) so that made things easier. As I’ve said we booked last minute, in future I would book more in advance to get a room closer to the exit. However I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I visited Windsor for our wedding anniversary staying at the sir Christopher Wren hotel. From the polite greeting as the door was opened for us to the friendly and helpful reception staff we were made to feel right at home. The signature room we stayed in was lovely, well presented and very clean. The outside balcony was lovely and the bed comfortable. All the staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with tasty high quality produce. I'd highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting.

Superb hotel. Very costly. Maintained extremely well. Managed by Sarova Hotels group currently. Clean and tidy hotel. Magnificent edifice. Has a cluster of heritage buildings in the area. Near to Windsor and Eton Riverside railway station. 10 minutes walk to Windsor Castle from here. Romantic place. Vertical windows allow extra light in the hotel. Parking is available for hotel residents only. Kids friendly place. This hotel is named after the famous British architect Sir Christopher Wren, who designed many notable buildings and heritage structures in the UK.

From the early booking to the check out our experience overall was very goodThe Room we had was over the road in the Annex. The quality was excellent, the beds were very good and our sleep quality perfect. The rooms are clean and well presented. The location is perfect as its located in the middle of Windsor town centre. Our room had obscured views of the castle and river but this wasn't an issue to us.The buffet Breakfast was good, Excellent range of full English and continental and yes if the hot food had been kept warmer on the servery it would have been nicer. We would happily stay here again.
